BASIC INFO:

Ava's Demon is a webocmic about a girl named Ava (shoker) and her personal demon (I'm just full of surprises today), Wrathia, that has tormented her since her birth.
The comic has been going since 2012, but it only takes place over a few days. During it's runtime, it's been involved in many dramas and controversies , partially because the story is much darker than it first seems and because the creator wasn't mature/ready to handle their sucsess and a large fandom.
The basic plot is that Queen Wrathia is stuck haunting Ava, after her kingdom (which spanned across galaxies) was conquered by a creature calling itself TITAN. Now Ava has togather the six of Wrathia's most powerful warriors and defeat TITAN. All known warriors adults haunting children and teens. The 7 main ones are inspired by the 7 deadly sins.

Ava and her boring-ass love interest Odin are based off of the creator, Michelle Fus(they/them), and their husband. Michelle has said that Ava is nonbinary (she/they) and Odin is bi, but these have yet to be confirmed in the comic	Early concept showing Ava and Odin together

Something that I like about Ava's Demon is how well it keeps the aura of discomfort you feel when you're in/viewing a pedophilic situation (specifically one without explicit sexual assault)

Odin staring at Ava's chest (drawer) is self explanatory. Ava trying out the ring is reminiscent of a girl being engaged/proposed to (the fact that the ring belonged to the previous Aedinfell queen doesn't help), but Odin saying that Ava looks like prepubescent child makes the previous thought absolutely disgusting (even if his comment seems to be comedic).

Wrathia's greeting is the first thing that sours our perception of her (aside from maybe her abuse, if you relate to Ava) . This moment is obviously a joke, but Ava is still 15! (like girl what the fuck is wrong with you) Personally, this moment stuck with me and remained in my mind throughout my entire read-through of the comic.
Then Chapter 20 comes out! :D This is the part I think Michelle actually intentionally made disturbing. (Not showing Wrathia's big oopsie bc I hate looking at those panels, so here's Ava moaning on the floor)

Not much to say for this scene, honestly. Wrathia's sexual assault is framed somewhat positive light, because
1) Ava is still coming down from the high Wrathia's potion gave her, so she much more confidence than usual and thinks she has more control than she does
2) This is the ONLY time Wrathia shows Ava any kind of affection (side from maybe her advice in Chapter 8)
